The beautiful romance between Queen & Slim actor Jodie Turner-Smith and her husband Joshua Jackson is over.
Smith filed for divorce from the Fatal Attraction actor in Los Angeles Superior Court on Wednesday, Oct. 3, reports say.
The date of separation is Sept. 13 and the British actress/model cites “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the divorce.
Jodie and Joshua met during his 2018 birthday bash and their relationship was immediately fast-tracked. They got engaged just months later.
The couple went to the Beverly Hills Courthouse to snag a wedding license, before most people knew they were even dating.
The stars had been married for more than three years and share one child. They wed in late 2019 and welcomed daughter Juno Jackson a year later.
The heartbreaking news of the split comes as a surprise to fans who’ve gotten used to seeing Turner-Smith and Jackson show off their chemistry on red carpets around the world.
At this year’s Oscars, for example, the actors looked so in love with their showstopping looks.
Smith has previously spoken affectionately of her relationship with Jackson and their marriage.
“When I first met my husband, we had a one-night stand,” she said on Late Night With Seth Meyers in 2021. “We’re in a two, three-year one-night stand now.”
Also in 2021, Smith spoke to People about how lucky she and Jackson were to have found each other.
Jackson also gushed about Turner-Smith in various interviews.
This past May, he told Watch What Happens Live host Andy Cohen that he knew Turner-Smith was “the one” when she “walked into the room looking like that.”
Neither Smith nor Jackson have publicly addressed the news of their separation.
According to TMZ, Smith wants to take spousal support off the table for both her and Joshua. There’s no prenup in place.
