Cardi B just shared the cutest little interaction with her 3-year-old son, Wave, and his answer to the age-old question, “What do you wanna be when you grow up?” has the internet collectively saying, “Aww!” and maybe chuckling a little too!
Cardi B may be one of the most unfiltered voices in music, but it was Wave who had everyone talking this time. In a now-viral video, the rap queen hit pause on little Wave’s playtime to ask a serious question that turned out to be hilariously wholesome.
“Wave, what do you wanna be when you grow up?” she asked, camera rolling and voice full of curiosity.
Without missing a beat, the toddler, standing confidently inside a laundry basket, grinning ear to ear in his red Monsters, Inc. pajamas, fired back: “I wanna be a spiderman.”
Cardi, clearly caught off guard, gave a playful side-eye. “Oh child, you kidding. That ain’t no profession, boy. You don’t wanna be like a doctor or something?” she asked, laughing.
But Wave was not budging! With a firm “No, no. I wanna be spiderman,” he stuck to his superhero aspirations. All Cardi could do was laugh and concede with a simple “aight.”

Cardi and Offset welcomed their adorable son, Wave Set, back in September 2021. Cardi initially revealed her pregnancy during a performance at the BET Awards in June alongside her former husband. She performed with Migos on stage for “Type S—,” donning an embellished bodysuit featuring a sheer panel in the stomach area that showcased her baby bump.
They kept his name and photos under wraps for a while, finally introducing him to the world when he was seven months old. “We are so overjoyed to finally meet our son,” the couple mentioned in a statement to PEOPLE after his birth. “He is already loved so much by family and friends, and we can’t wait to introduce him to his other siblings.”
