A woman, Fauziya Abashe, has taken legal action against DJ Akademiks, alleging rape and defamation in court documents filed recently.
Abashe, also known as Ziya, asserts that she encountered AK online and, on July 16, 2022, after a year of no contact, he invited her to his residence.
Upon arrival, she claims to have been surprised by the presence of two men, identified as John Doe 1 & 2, who allegedly spiked her drink before sexually assaulting her on AK’s pool deck.
According to the documents, Abashe alleges that she regained consciousness around 4 a.m. on July 17, 2022, to find AK engaging in non-consensual sexual activity with her.
She further alleges that AK subjected her to severe physical and sexual abuse, including penetration both anally and vaginally, despite her pleas for him to stop.
The following morning, Abashe claims AK showed her video footage purportedly depicting the assault by the two men.
Text messages provided by Abashe allegedly show AK advising her to “get tested” and suggesting that he would do the same.
This isn’t the first time Abashe has made these accusations, as evidenced by previous statements and a rape kit examination.
In contrast, Akademiks previously described the incident as a consensual encounter involving him being intoxicated and observing surveillance footage of Abashe engaged in a threesome with his friends.
“I look crazy right now but I am not gonna stand here and let this man continue to lie about me. That’s not what happened and you know that that’s not what happened…you raped me too and a rape case was done…I’ve been quiet for far too long,” she said in a viral video.
Abashe maintains that the encounter was non-consensual and amounts to rape. The lawsuit seeks legal recourse for the alleged assault and defamation.
