More than one year after a Jack in the Box employee shot at customers from a drive-thru window, Houston police have released footage of the ordeal.

In March 2021, Anthony Ramos picked up his pregnant wife and 6-year-old daughter from the airport and decided to go to the fast food chain near Bush Intercontinental Airport to order something to eat.

Upon arriving at the drive-thru window, they were greeted by an employee named Alloniea Ford. It was then that Ramos got into a heated exchange with Ford over missing curly fries.

According to a FOX 26 Houston report, Ramos asked that he receive the fries but Ford refused.

In the video that has since gone viral, Ramos is seen in a red pickup truck involved in a verbal altercation with Ford. She then leaves the drive-thru window, then returns to continue the heated exchange.

The entire back-and-forth lasted approximately nine minutes, according to the report. After Ford leaves the drive-thru window a second time, she returns with a firearm.

Another employee is then seen attempting to fan flames, but Ford is undeterred and continues to argue with the customer.

The clash intensifies after Ford begins to throw ketchup packets into Ramos’ truck. Ramos then retaliates and throws items back at her. Meanwhile, another employee is seen in the background then steps up to intervene by closing and locking the drive-thru window.

Ford then unlocks the window and brandishes a gun. She first points the weapon at Ramos, then fires several shots as he speeds away.

Neither Ramos nor any of his family members were injured during the incident, police say.

Since the shooting, Ford has been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. She was convicted and ordered to probation, which ended in June of this year.

“Jack in the Box needs to do background checks on employees so as not to expose their customers to someone who would attempt to kill them,” said the family’s lawyer Randall L. Kallinen. “These rage cases are getting out of hand in Houston.”
