Guyanese social media star and artist Lola Doll, born Lolita Callender, is fighting for her life after being shot multiple times outside her East Ruimveldt home late Saturday night.
According to the Guyana Police Force (GPF), the 33-year-old influencer was seated in her car around 11:35 p.m. on September 6 when a male assailant on a motorcycle opened fire.
Lola Doll sustained gunshot wounds to her neck, face, hands, and right leg before being rushed to Georgetown Public Hospital, where she remains in critical condition.
A Shockwave Through Guyana

News of the attack has sent shockwaves through Georgetown and beyond, leaving family, friends, and thousands of supporters reeling.
Known for her bold online presence and unapologetic artistry, Lola Doll built a following as one of Guyana’s most outspoken cultural figures.
For many, the shooting feels both personal and symbolic. “She represents a generation unafraid to live loudly,” one supporter wrote online, echoing the sentiment of countless fans who flooded social media with messages of prayer and solidarity.
Ongoing Police Investigation

Authorities confirmed that CCTV footage from the neighborhood is being reviewed and investigators are actively pursuing the suspect.
While no arrests have been made, police have urged anyone with information about the incident to come forward.
The GPF stated in part: “Preliminary information indicates that the victim was seated in her car when she was shot by a male on a motorcycle. Police ranks are actively pursuing the suspect, and CCTV footage from the area is being reviewed as part of the investigation.”
More Than an Influencer
Beyond her music and videos, Lola Doll embodied resilience in a society where outspoken women often face hostility.
Her story is now tragically intertwined with the violence that has taken the lives — and threatened the futures — of so many in the region.
