by Gee NY

In the heart of Toronto, Hair Granted Beauty Supply (HGBS) is making waves as Canada’s largest Black-owned beauty supply store, offering an impressive selection of Black-owned hair, skincare, and beauty brands from across Canada, the U.S., Africa, and The Bahamas.

Founded by Zora Grant, HGBS is more than just a retail store—it’s a hub for empowering Black beauty brands and serving the diverse hair care needs of the community.

Located at 200 Queens Plate Drive, the store carries a wide range of hair extensions, wigs, and beauty products, with a commitment to showcasing over 35 Black-owned brands and more than 275 products from those brands.

“Here at HGBS, we take pride in carrying and supporting Black-owned beauty brands from all over the world,” Grant shared.

Honoring Black History Through Business

In celebration of Black History Month, HGBS recently held its annual sale, offering 20% off all Black-owned products in-store and online.

The sale, which ran through Feb 28, 2025, aimed to uplift and highlight Black entrepreneurs in the beauty industry while making these products more accessible to customers.

As HGBS continues to grow, its impact on the beauty industry remains significant, serving as a pillar of representation and empowerment for Black-owned brands in Canada and beyond.
