Halle Bailey Breaks 100% 13-Year Vegan Streak Due To Pregnancy!

Disney’s The Little Mermaid, Halle Bailey, has revealed that she has permanently ended her 13-year-long vegan lifestyle due to pregnancy cravings.

Halle Bailey is embracing her new mommy chapter, including the big dietary changes that come with it. After following a strict vegan lifestyle for over a decade, the actress has disclosed how her pregnancy cravings led her to reintroduce meat into her diet.

In a conversation with her followers, Halle addressed the speculation about her eating habits, which began after fans noticed her cooking in some of her recent Instagram posts.

“I’ve seen a lot of people ask me if I’m still 100% vegan because I’ve been showing you guys that I’ve been cooking a little bit,” Halle shared. “And the answer is not anymore.”

Halle, who has been a vocal supporter of plant-based living for over a decade, revealed that her decision to abandon veganism came up during her pregnancy.

“When I was pregnant, I just started craving meat,” she revealed. “And I was vegan for 13 years up until then.”

The 23-year-old artist’s decision was difficult, but it was motivated by a desire to prioritize her health and her baby’s well-being. “Honestly, I was just like, ‘Well, I’m going to give my body what it wants right now because I’m doing a really hard job growing a human,'” she explained, hinting at the importance of listening to one’s body’s needs during this transformative period.

Halle also expressed concern for her baby’s nutrition, saying, “I also wanted to make sure Halo was getting the proper nutrients.”

While she has reintroduced some animal products, Halle assured fans that her love for vegan food hasn’t diminished.

“I still mostly eat it all the time, but if I’m craving a chicken or something, I will eat it,” she stated. “I don’t eat a lot of meat, but if I want it, I eat it.”

It’s not uncommon for pregnant women to experience shifts in their dietary preferences as the body’s nutritional needs change to support both the mother and the growing baby. For Halle, this meant stepping away from a vegan lifestyle to ensure she and her baby received the necessary nutrients.
