Actress Meagan Good is opening up about a major shift in her personal journey: she’s ready to embrace motherhood after years of saying she didn’t want children.
In a candid interview with Scott Evans, the 42-year-old star revealed that the desire to become a mom has been growing steadily, and now feels like the perfect time.
“I wanna be a mom,” Good declared. “Absolutely. I’ve come to that.”

She humorously recounted how shocked she was when her sister first announced her pregnancy years ago. Reenacting the moment, Good mimicked her surprised reaction:
“Wow. Why? Right now?” Despite the awkwardness, she said the experience planted a seed in her about family life.
What really solidified her decision, however, was her relationship with actor Jonathan Majors. Good explained that she felt ready for motherhood even before their relationship, but being with Majors gave her a new kind of confidence.
“I’m, like, ready right now because I have so much fun with him,” she said. “And because I know that it’s not gonna become Groundhog Day.”
The “Harlem” star described a future full of adventure — traveling the world, producing films, and raising children along the way.
“Our kids are gonna be with us in Africa, wherever it is,” she said. “The way that we move, I really, really love. The way that we do life, I really, really love.”
The conversation marks a notable evolution for Good, who’s spoken in the past about prioritizing career and personal freedom.
Now, she says she’s more than ready to start this new chapter — and she’s doing it on her own terms.
