The “WAP” rapper took to Instagram on Tuesday, June 23, to give fans a tour of the literal castle her NFL bae rented out just for them while overseas. And no, it’s not a bougie hotel pretending to be a castle. This is a real-life, 12th-century fortress, now converted into a luxury chateau near Paris, complete with a dining hall, antique furniture, stained glass windows, and a bathroom that Cardi proudly referred to as where she’s going to “wash [her] royal hiney.”
“Why this man got us staying in a castle?” Cardi said in the clip, clearly in awe.
The 32-year-old rap superstar has been open about how fast-paced her European trips are packed with schedules, rehearsals, and press runs. But apparently, Stefon was listening. The New England Patriots wide receiver went all out to give Cardi her Marie Antoinette moment since she’s always said she never has time to tour European castles while working overseas.
Now, with her new single “Outside” gaining momentum and her upcoming album Am I The Drama? on the way, the castle retreat comes as the perfect soft pause for Cardi and her new man.
Cardi’s Instagram story showed off everything: the majestic entrance, the candlelit dining space, a medieval toilet that had her giggling, and even an indoor swimming pool. And because it’s Stefon, of course, he was spotted out on the castle grounds.
Fans are already calling this “Bardi’s Royal Era.” After a very public and messy split from Offset, the Bronx-born rapper has been slowly showing off her new relationship with Diggs, and this castle getaway just made it Instagram-official again.
“I haven’t said I’m happy in a very long time,” Cardi admitted earlier this month. “I am genuinely happy. Throughout the day, I’m smiling like a motherf***er because I’m happy.”
