Issa Rae has launched her Hoorae media company, an entertainment production venture for feature film, television and digital.

According to Variety, Hoorae, formerly known as Issa Rae Productions, HBO’s Insecure series and A Black Lady Sketch Show.

The outlet reports that Rae has promoted veteran executive Sara Rastogi to senior vice president of development, and she will report to Montrel McKay, president of Hoorae film and TV.

“Working with Issa, Montrel and the whole team has been refreshing and rewarding,” Rastogi said. “Issa invests in people and has cultivated an empowering company culture that allows us to take big risks, challenge ourselves, and industry norms. I am excited to continue growing with the company, in short Hoorae!”

During a recent interview with Bustle, Rae opened up about several topics, including what keeps her motivated and continue reaching for the stars.

“Every single time you do something, there’s a moving goal post. I still feel like I have so much more to do and so much more to prove. To the point of competing, I guess, with myself or with some invisible being just ahead of me, I don’t feel any impact yet. And a lot of that comes with time. Yes, 2007 was 13 years ago, but [it] feels like it’s been two years. I’m like, “I need more time,” she shared.

The Black Lives Matter movement’s rise has led to uncomfortable conversations in Hollywood, both in public and behind the scenes. When asked whether Rae believed that the change is permanent, she was hopeful.

“Yes, because I see the people doing the work, and I’m part of these conversations. I know that certain companies have empowered the voices that are interested in making a change and that are really about that life. But there’s still some empty gestures that I’m like, “You’ll never get it.” It really is going to be up to us. But as long as you’re getting out of the way and truly leaving it up to us, then I do feel OK about it.”
