Janet Jackson left fans and BBC Radio 2 Breakfast Show host Scott Mills in utter disbelief with her latest family revelation.

During a captivating chat on the show, the music icon shared unexpected details about her famous family connections.

Jackson, who is currently dazzling audiences on her “Together Again” tour, took a moment to reveal that she is not only related to music legend Stevie Wonder but also shares familial ties with two other A-listers: Tracy Chapman and Samuel L. Jackson.

As the upbeat tones of Stevie Wonder’s “Do I Do” filled the studio, Mills, 51, couldn’t help but ask:

“Someone told me this earlier—are you related to Stevie!?” To his astonishment, the 58-year-old singer confirmed the connection, saying, “That has blown my mind!” before casually adding, “So is Tracy Chapman. So is Samuel L. Jackson.”

Mills’ reaction was priceless:

“Is this blowing anyone else’s mind!! So, Stevie Wonder… Cousin?” Jackson laughed and confirmed, “He would be a cousin too, well he’s not my brother!”

In addition to this surprising family revelation, Jackson spoke about paying tribute to her late brother, Michael Jackson, during her current tour. The duo’s iconic 1995 track “Scream” is a highlight of her performance, with Jackson explaining:

“I love that song and I guess it’s just a homage to my brother and us working together.”

Michael Jackson, who passed away in 2009, left an indelible mark on the music world, and his presence is felt throughout the tour. Jackson shared that fans go wild when Michael appears on screen during the performance, making it a special moment for her and her audience.

Currently, amid a sold-out North American tour celebrating her five-decade career, Janet Jackson will soon cross the Atlantic for the European leg, starting in Paris on September 25 at Accor Arena.

The tour will include stops in the UK, Germany, and Belgium, culminating in Amsterdam on October 10.

Fans in the UK can look forward to her performances at the London O2 Arena on September 28 and 29, with special guest Wyclef Jean. Additional UK dates include Birmingham on September 27, Glasgow on September 30, and Manchester on October 1.

With her tour gaining momentum and her star-studded family revelations making waves, Janet Jackson continues to captivate and surprise her global audience.
