Karreuche Tran found herself at the center of an online media frenzy after she was snapped leaving Six Flags just minutes apart from her ex-boyfriend, Chris Brown.
She quickly hopped onto social media to pour water on the rumors.
“There were a ton of other people there. Next,” she wrote on a post in The Shade Room.
Karrueche dated Breezy from 2011 to 2014. Their relationship was publicly documented, as was Brown’s inability to keep it in his pants. After they split, the r&b singer was accused of stalking and harassing his ex. She was eventually granted a five-year restraining order against Brown in 2017.
In 2015, the “Claws” actress appeared on “Iyanla, Fix My Life,” where she sought to heal and move on from the shadow of her former relationship once and for all.
Karrueche addressed the time when she appeared to be in a love triangle with Brown and his ex, Rihanna.
“[I feel] hurt, betrayed … Because of what he’s done,” she told Vanzant. “Because the man I loved hurt me and betrayed me. I also feel like I let myself down.”
Speaking to Salon in 2018, Karrueche said she received an outpouring of support from women who had also been in abusive relationships.
“After that [Iyanla interview], I actually had a lot of women of various ages and various races come up to me and say, ‘I watched your interview and I loved it and I thank you so much because I was able to learn from it and thank you for being so open because I was in the same situation.’ And it was so interesting because, when I did that interview, the space that I was in was such a whirlwind and there was so much happening, I didn’t think I was going to inspire people,” she shared.
