Former Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kenya Moore is taking full responsibility for showing explicit images of newcomer Brittany Eady at her salon, Kenya Moore’s Hair Spa’s grand opening in Atlanta.
According to reports, the two reality TV cast members had a heated verbal argument before the night of the grand opening, leading to RHOA rookie Brittany Eady allegedly threatening Kenya with a gun.
In June, all the current season Housewife cast members attended the Grand Opening of Kenya’s salon when she dropped her giant, staggering surprise. Kenya asked for the audience’s attention as she approached a set of posters shortly after making her dramatic entrance.
And then she uncovered the posters, revealing extremely graphic and explicit images that were allegedly of her rival Brit with a huge male sex organ in her mouth.
“I am still processing the nasty, low, disgusting, vile things that were done to try and hurt me. Bullying and revenge porn is never okay,” Eady shared in a statement back in July.
Before Kenya Moore was suspended from the show for her actions, she initially denied any wrongdoing and said she had proof she didn’t engage in revenge porn.
After news of their altercation went viral, Kenya Moore left a message on her story.
“Believe none of what you hear and half of what you see. The truth always comes to light,” she wrote.
Now, rather than providing “evidence,” Kenya is apologizing.
The reality television star spoke with Tamron Hall, where she admitted to the surprising incident that led to her indefinite suspension from the Bravo series. Kenya stated that printing and displaying the pictures in the Kenya Moore Hair Spa was a step too far.
“If I could do it all over again, I believe the photos were very distasteful, and I elevated the situation. I’ve elevated situations before, and I’ve taken full accountability for the things that I’ve done. I am sorry for what I’ve done,” she told Hall. “I didn’t have to take it that far.”
Speaking through tears, Moore spoke about the emotions that drove her actions. As a mother, she explained that her primary concern was protecting herself and her child. “I didn’t have to take it that far, but when I felt threatened… I’ve never had a child and been in this situation before. So that’s why I escalated it to the point where I was protecting not only myself but my child,” she shared.
Despite the apology, it’s unclear if Kenya Moore will have a chance to return to Bravo and reclaim her position from Phaedra Parks.
