LisaRaye McCoy is officially addressing the drama surrounding her past marriage to former Turks and Caicos politician Michael Misick—and the role Nicole Murphy allegedly played in their divorce.
In a recent interview, the actress and former First Lady of Turks and Caicos dropped bombshell accusations, claiming Nicole Murphy, someone she once considered a friend, “messed around” with her ex-husband during their marriage.
The stunning revelations began when the host of the interview asked LisaRaye, “Were you two friends?”
“Yeah,” LisaRaye confirmed. “Birthday parties at her house. She was at my bachelorette party.”
“You know what, at that time, my mama told me. She said, ‘You gotta watch that one.’ And I was like, ‘Who?’ I said, ‘The one dancing.’ She said, ‘Yes. You gotta watch that one,'” LisaRaye recounted. She admitted she initially dismissed her mother’s advice, thinking it was just old-school suspicion. But as it turns out, Mama McCoy was right.
LisaRaye explained how she discovered Nicole’s alleged betrayal by checking the manifest of her private plane. “When you check that list, it says all the people that had rode on the plane,” she explained. “And she didn’t ride on it with me, nor did she receive an invitation from me. So why would you accept an invitation from him, and you don’t even know him?”
The betrayal left LisaRaye questioning Nicole’s motives and loyalty, especially after she watched the security tapes and saw Nicole and her ex-husband at the airport.
“What makes you think you can do that? Friends? Friends don’t do that. That’s something that I think an enemy or somebody I don’t know would do. Someone that you have to watch your back from.”
According to LisaRaye, her former friend initially denied riding on the private plane. However, when she tried calling back after reviewing the footage, Nicole refused to pick up her calls to date.
“Grillllll,” she said, her voice dripping with authenticity and frustration. “Where I come from, South-side of Chicago, that’s an a$$-whooping. Period.”
Nicole Murphy, who has faced accusations of infidelity in the past—including a highly publicized scandal involving kissing Lela Rochon’s husband of 20 years, Antoine Fuqua —has not responded to LisaRaye’s latest claims.
