After dismissing fans’ claims that she used Ozempic to lose weight, Lizzo debuted a Halloween costume mimicking the weight loss drug that was used to make fun of her on South Park.

Lizzo knows how to get people talking, and she didn’t disappoint this Halloween. The Grammy-winning superstar went all out with a costume that was equal parts creative and controversial: she dressed as Ozempic, the popular but divisive weight loss drug that’s been making headlines.

The South Park episode, “The End of Obesity,” aired in May and mocked the Ozempic trend by using Lizzo as an alternative to the popular medication. In the episode, Eric Cartman sees his doctor about Ozempic for weight loss.

When he discovers he cannot afford it, the doctor offers an unusual solution: “I’m going to write you a prescription for Lizzo. “She’s a great singer who promotes body positivity,” he says. “I want you to listen to Lizzo five times daily and watch her videos before bedtime. I am afraid you will have to rely on Lizzo for the rest of your life.”

In response, an irate Cartman said, “Poor people get body positivity; rich people get Ozempic!”

Soon after the episode aired, Lizzo posted a video reacting to it, specifically debunking the use of any weight loss drug.

This year, the 36-year-old dressed up as a package of the fictional weight loss drug Lizzo, referenced in the animated franchise’s special, “The End of Obesity.”

On October 26, the “About Damn Time” singer shared photos of herself in costume, a month after denying using Ozempic to achieve her slim figure.

Lizzo posted photos and videos of herself in costume dancing with someone dressed as Cartman from South Park, holding a giant slice of pizza, and sitting inside a car with a bottle of Clase Azul Reposado Tequila.

Lizzo captioned, “LizzOzempic dump.”

“It’s that time of year where I feed y’all so ridiculously,” Lizzo wrote alongside another one of three Instagram posts, “and you’re so very welcome, baby.”

For glam, Lizzo matched the red on the costume with her lipstick and blush. She wore her hair down and straight.
