Mariah the Scientist kicked off her highly anticipated Hearts Sold Separately tour in Paris, and fans were treated to more than just music. They witnessed a full-blown spectacle!
The Atlanta-born R&B star opened the 36-city tour on January 12 at the iconic Salle Pleyel, blending new tracks from her August album, including “Sacrifice” and “Burning Blue,” with fan favorites. The performance carried a military-themed “war on love” concept, complete with army-green merch that had the crowd buzzing. While some longtime fans hoped for a few deeper cuts from earlier albums like 7AM, the energy in the room was undeniable, proving Mariah remains a force to be reckoned with.
As much as the music captivated the audience, Mariah’s SS2026 Keburia outfit stole the show. She stepped on stage in a bold black-and-white ensemble that fused structured tailoring with voluminous, architectural shapes. The sleeveless top, reminiscent of a military jacket, featured a high, banded neckline, rows of black corded piping, and metallic buttons that nodded to classic marching band designs. Black ribbon detailing along the shoulders and sides added geometric accents, giving the top depth while contrasting sharply against the crisp white fabric.
The shorts were a dramatic statement, puffed and balloon-like, creating movement and adding sculptural dimension to the look. Alternating black-and-white panels mirrored the top’s linearity, drawing attention to her waist and giving the outfit a cohesive, runway-ready finish. Mariah completed the ensemble with FW2014 DSquared2 “Virginia” heels, proving her style is just as bold as her vocals.
Announced in September 2025, the Hearts Sold Separately tour is a 36-city journey that spans Europe and North America. After Paris, Mariah will continue through select European cities, wrapping the international leg in Utrecht, Netherlands, on January 20. The North American leg kicks off in February in Miami and will include stops in major cities like New York, Detroit, and Los Angeles before culminating in her hometown of Atlanta on April 10, 2026.
With her dynamic performance, striking Keburia outfit, and carefully curated setlist, Mariah the Scientist has shown that her music, style, and stage presence are evolving together. From Paris to Atlanta, fans can expect a tour that’s as visually bold as it is sonically captivating!
