Megan Thee Stallion is speaking marriage into existence. The Grammy-winning rapper recently revealed she is “manifesting” her engagement to NBA star Klay Thompson, sharing that she hopes to walk down the aisle soon.
The moment happened during a YouTube short filmed in Milan, where the 2026 Winter Olympics had just wrapped. Megan greeted Team USA stars Brittany Bowe, Hilary Knight and Leila Edwards at a restaurant and quickly shifted the conversation to love. Bowe, 37, and Knight, 36, had just announced their engagement on social media on Feb. 18, and Megan made sure to congratulate them.
“I hear y’all just got engaged, congrats,” she told the couple before watching a video of the proposal. Knight popped the question to Bowe after the two fell in love while competing at the 2022 Beijing Olympics. As the group admired the romantic moment, Megan crossed her fingers and shared her own hopes for the future.
“I love love, that’s so sweet,” she said, adding that she was “manifesting my engagement too,” as the Olympians joined in and crossed their fingers alongside her.
Megan’s desire to marry an athlete is not new. Back in 2011, long before her chart-topping hits and business ventures, she tweeted that she was “marrying an athlete for sure,” adding that it would “maybe [be] a football player… but most likely a basketball player.” The post has since resurfaced as fans connect the dots.
Her relationship with Thompson became public in July 2025 when the entrepreneur and four-time NBA champion appeared alongside her at her inaugural Pete & Thomas Foundation Gala in New York City. At the event, Megan spoke warmly about him, calling the basketball star “the nicest person I’ve ever met in my life.”
Now, with her career thriving and love clearly on her mind, Megan is making it known that she sees a wedding in her future. Whether the manifestation turns into a ring remains to be seen, but the rapper has made it clear that she believes in speaking her next chapter into existence.
