NeNe Leakes’ new boyfriend is finally ready to end his marriage with his wife (yes, you read that right) after his spouse filed a lawsuit against the 55-year-old reality star.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta celebrity was served papers over an entanglement between the disgruntled wife, her husband and Leakes.
According to a TMZ report, Nyonisela Sioh filed to divorce Malomine Tehmeh-Sioh, who sued Leakes because she was dating her husband.
Court documents indicate that Sioh and his wife have been married for six years and share one child. They filed for a separation in 2021 and have lived separately since.
“They haven’t resumed marital relations since then, noting the separation from the jump was meant to be permanent,” according to TMZ.
The report continues: “That could speak to her own legal battle with NeNe … which boils down to her suing over what she claims was a homewrecker situation — essentially, accusing NeNe of sleeping with her husband and ruining their marriage … allegedly causing her emotional distress.”
But Sioh refutes those claims. He says there was never an overlap between the time he was married to his soon-to-be-ex-wife and his new relationship with Leakes. It is unclear when he and the Georgia peach began dating.
Sioh’s filing shows that he is requesting a dissolution of the marriage and equitable distribution of their assets.
Meanwhile, Leakes “can’t stop smiling around Nyonisela,” a source told PEOPLE. “It’s still very new, but she’s almost like a teenager with him, just light and giggly and feeling those new relationship butterflies.”
The source further added: “It was obviously very hard for NeNe after Gregg’s death, but she had been his caretaker for so long, she really lost what it was like to have a partner who prioritizes you. Nyonisela treats her like a queen. He’s constantly fawning over her, showering her with compliments and putting her needs first. She couldn’t have found a better guy to be with after her loss.”
