A Florida family’s months-long search for a missing woman has taken an unexpected turn after she was spotted in a viral TikTok video giving birth on a New York City subway train.
Authorities in Hallandale Beach issued an Endangered Missing Person’s bulletin for 25-year-old Jenny Saint Pierre in September 2024. Her family had reported her missing after last seeing her in July, concerned for her well-being due to her schizophrenia diagnosis and pregnancy. Saint Pierre’s ex-boyfriend told police he last saw her after a disagreement on August 5.
However, on Wednesday, Saint Pierre reappeared in a shocking social media post. A TikTok video, captioned:
“POV: You’re headed to work and you witness someone giving birth on the train,” showed a newborn wrapped in a cloth while subway passengers reacted to the unexpected moment.
In the background, a pink bag and a voice, which her family recognized, confirmed Saint Pierre’s identity.
“Oh, my God, look at her little face!” her sister, Stephania Saint Pierre, told The New York Times while watching the video. “Oh, my God, I am going to cry! That’s my first niece!”
Her mother expressed immense relief after months of unanswered prayers.
“I’ve been thinking about my daughter every day, praying every day that she’s OK, that her baby is OK. I’m going to sleep good tonight,” she told The Times, adding that Jenny is welcome home anytime. “We will always be there for her, and for her baby.”
Law enforcement has confirmed that the woman in the viral footage is indeed Jenny Saint Pierre. Both she and her newborn daughter are reportedly in stable condition at Bellevue Hospital in New York.
The remarkable turn of events has brought relief to Saint Pierre’s family, who are now hopeful for a reunion and a new beginning for both mother and child.
