The Grammy-winning “Hrs & Hrs” singer hopped on Instagram Live this week to clear up the whispers about her recent weight gain, and she did not hold back. Some fans had been speculating that the R&B star was either pregnant or going through a lupus flare-up. But according to Muni, it’s neither.
Muni Long revealed she’s just been living her best foodie life.
“Right now, I’m fat. I’m fluffy. I enjoy it,” Muni said unapologetically on Monday night (July 28). “I’ve been eating steak and shrimp, and lobster towers and cake, all types of s**t.”
According to the singer, there’s no secret health scare, no hidden baby bump. Just good vibes and better meals. She laughed off the rumors and doubled down on her joy, letting fans know she weighs around 145 pounds and is perfectly fine with it.
“The difference between me and you is I don’t give a damn what y’all think about me,” she added. “As long as I’m alive and I’m breathing. I got family that loves me. I’m healthy, I’m happy.”
Of course, it didn’t stop some folks from trying to play internet doctor, claiming something had to be wrong. But Muni wasn’t having that either. “Y’all [are] so f**king nosy, entitled, and rude,” she said bluntly.
Let’s not forget, Muni has been open about her lupus diagnosis since 2018, so she’s no stranger to health-related conversations.
And while the internet stays pressed, Muni Long is out here living her best life. She has been booked and busy. Over the weekend, she lit up the stage at GloRilla’s first annual Glo Bash. This fall, she’s hitting the road with Brandy and Monica for their The Boy Is Mine tour, running through December.
