The Unrivaled 1-on-1 tournament is down to four elite competitors, with Napheesa Collier, Azurá Stevens, Arike Ogunbowale, and Aaliyah Edwards battling for the $200,000 grand prize when the competition concludes Friday, Feb. 14, 2025.
Each semifinalist has already secured $25,000, while their Unrivaled teammates will receive $10,000 each. The two finalists will face off in a best-of-three series for the championship, with the runner-up earning $50,000.
Collier, who eliminated her Unrivaled Lunar Owls teammate Courtney Williams 12-4 in the quarterfinals, will take on Stevens, who dominated Rae Burrell 12-2.
In the other semifinal, Ogunbowale, who edged Satou Sabally 12-8, will meet Edwards, the Washington Mystics rookie who pulled off the biggest upset of the tournament by defeating Breanna Stewart in the first round.
“We’re all competitors,” Collier told USA Today. “Your W teammates are on different teams here … We’re used to playing against former teammates.”
Edwards, a rising star, isn’t backing down from the competition:
“People are surprised by my performances, but this is what I came here to do—get better and prepare for the W season.”
The highly competitive and fast-paced tournament has delivered thrilling matchups, and Friday’s finale promises to be no different as these four stars battle for supremacy.
