Married to Medicine: Atlanta star Quadriyyah “Quad” Webb is in the news after it was announced that a 3-year-old girl drowned at her Atlanta home, according to police.
On July 7, Cobb County police responded to a call of a drowning on Sherwood Lane in Marietta, an Atlanta suburb.
Upon arrival, police found that a 3-year-girl had drowned in the swimming pool of the reality star’s backyard. Firefighters proceeded to provide medical aid to the child and then rushed her to Scottish Rite Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
According to a WSB report, police spoke with two men who were at the scene where the incident took place. They said they were in the pool for two hours from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM and then went inside to order pizza. They ended up lounging indoors for a while and they returned back to the pool area, where they say they saw what they thought was a doll floating in the pool.
They soon realized that it was a child in the poll and immediately pulled her out. They called 911, but it was too late. The child had died from drowning.
Police say the victim was the daughter of Tamica Webb, a woman from Memphis, Tenn. The child has been identified as Aryanna Rice.
The police report indicates that the home where the drowning took place was Rice’s address and states that Aryanna was there for a month-long vacation. Before her death, Webb posted on Instagram that the girl, referred to as Ari “absolutely stole my heart from the moment I saw you. Ari you’re so special to me and I’m grateful to be a part of your life! I got you forever!!!”
Police say following Aryanna’s death, they interviewed her grandmother, Mary Loise Cox, who said that the last time she saw her granddaughter was when she was with Webb.
The report further states that the child died from drowning. Webb has yet to comment on the case.
