Rihanna has sparked speculation of a possible feud with Drake after making a scathing comment about love songs.

The “Diamonds” hitmaker is keeping it real—and some fans think she’s throwing subtle shade at Drake in the process!

Rihanna created another viral moment during a Q&A segment about her preferences for Valentine’s Day. The billionaire beauty from Barbados shared a video with her 150 million followers on Instagram titled “Savage X Fenty Presents Love Your Way.”

In the video, Rihanna channels her Bad Gal persona while adding the final details to a Valentine’s cake. At the same time, someone off-camera poses a variety of this or that questions connected to the approaching Valentine’s Day celebration.

While decorating the cake, the record-breaking singer was asked to choose multiple either-or questions, including “Valentine or Galentine?” or “Getaway or Stay At Home?” At one point, Rihanna was asked, “Love song or love letter?” And the “Loveeee Song” artist looked visibly disgusted.

“Ugh! Please never make me a love song,” Rihanna said. “That is corny. Trust me. I’ve seen it.”

While Rihanna didn’t name-drop anyone, the internet wasted no time connecting the dots back to Drake, who has been open about his past feelings for her. The two have had an on-again, off-again history, with Drake publicly professing his love for Rihanna during the 2016 MTV VMAs, only for her to distance herself from him later.

In a 2018 interview with Vogue, Rihanna stated that she no longer had a friendship with Drake. While she didn’t call them “enemies,” she made it clear that they were no longer close.

Drake has also disclosed that the song “Fireworks” was motivated by the heartbreak he experienced from Rihanna, and it’s commonly believed that songs such as “Take Care” and “Days in the East” also echo their history together.

Although Rihanna typically does not like love songs written about her, A$AP Rocky expressed his feelings for her in his 2022 song “D.M.B.,” which stands for “Dat’s My Bitch.” In the track, he reflects on their intense relationship, complimenting her significant bank balances, her “slim, thick” physique, and her “tough love” nature.

Even if she isn’t particularly fond of love songs, Rihanna has plenty of romantic tracks in her collection, including some from her most recent album, “Anti,” which marked its ninth anniversary this week.
