Jhonni Blaze had a heart-wrenching moment when she was turned away from a school event. The reason? Her body shape.

In a video shared on Instagram, Jhonni revealed the shocking reason why she was initially banned from speaking to a group of middle school girls: her curves. “The principal, I believe, told the lady I couldn’t go because of my body shape. Not because of my image, but because of my body shape,” she explained, clearly upset.

But the story doesn’t end there. After going back to sort out some logistics, Jhonni was finally given the green light to speak to the kids. The school made things right by calling her hours later, offering her the chance to return and give the students the gifts.

Her emotions mixed with relief, Jhonni shared the turnaround with her followers, saying, “God is so good. Thank you, @beautiful_blackanese, for fighting for me.”

What makes this story even more powerful is Jhonni’s background. Once an exotic dancer, she faced early struggles with substance abuse and promiscuity, starting at just 15 years old. But she’s not running from her past. In fact, it’s exactly why she wants to speak to young girls.

“I understand my background when the district googled me can be a lot,” she said. “But I’m not ashamed of who I used to be. I’m not ashamed of what I went through. My background is one of the reasons I push to speak to these girls so they can go down the right path. Cedar Grove Middle School really placed me in an emotional state in a good way because hours later, they called and asked me to still come, and I did. It’s not about pride. It’s not about no one else but the kids. How I responded with concern and simply a peaceful response is why God still made it happen. You should have seen their faces when they seen me. The ending of this video says so much. ‘THEY NEED YOU JHONNI.'”

For the school visit, Jhonni Blaze wore an oversized light-wash denim overalls over a short-sleeved, multicolored fitted top. The outfit included a baseball cap, a small cross-body bag, and sneakers.
