Simone Biles, the four-time Olympic gold-medal-winning gymnast, recently addressed pregnancy rumors circulating among fans.
Speculation arose after Biles shared pictures on Instagram on December 12, supporting her husband, Green Bay Packers safety Jonathan Owens, during a game at the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
Wearing a beanie with Owens’ jersey number “34” and a baggy army jacket, fans quickly took to the comments section to speculate about a possible pregnancy. Biles responded on December 13 via her Instagram Stories, debunking the rumors and expressing her frustration with the need to address the matter.
“I hate that I even have to address this,” wrote Biles. “But please stop commenting on this photo or my Instagram in general about me being ‘pregnant.’ I’m not pregnant.”
Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens tied the knot in April, and Biles has been a supportive presence at her husband’s football games. The couple had a courthouse wedding in April, followed by a ceremony in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, in May.
Biles’ public appearances at Owens’ games have drawn attention, especially after pop star Taylor Swift began supporting Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. Social media comparisons between the two couples inevitably ensued.
After the Chiefs played against the Packers on December 3, fans weighed in, expressing their preference for having Simone Biles on their side. One fan presented Biles with a goat hat, symbolizing her status as the “Greatest of All Time” (GOAT).
Biles graciously accepted the gifts and shared her enthusiasm for supporting Owens during the holiday season.
“It’s been really fun supporting what he loves to do,” she said. “Obviously, he’s in Green Bay right now, so my season just ended. I’m super excited to get out there to Green Bay for the holidays to support him.”
