Tamar Braxton Defends ‘Baddies ATL’ Hosting Gig: ‘Clearly, You Haven’t Done Your Homework’

by Shine My Crown Staff

Tamar Braxton faced a little criticism for her recent hosting gig for Zeus Network’s “Baddies Atlanta” reunion special.

But Tamar is not one to let anyone come for her without a snappy comeback — and one Twitter user found out the hard way.

“quick question @tamarbraxtonher you are hosting the Baddies ATL reunion for what exactly? Isn’t this the Same reality tv that almost killed you???? let’s chat,” one Twitter user wrote.

Tamar was ready.

“While I know you are not worth the response because clearly, you haven’t done your homework… to answer your dumb question… NO!..all the greats have hosted #1 reality reunion shows. @wendywilliams@lalaanthony @kevinfrashier etc.. get ready for more.”

A year ago, Tamar lay fighting for her life in a hospital after attempting to commit suicide. Tamar was home with her son Logan and her then-boyfriend, financial consultant David Adefeso, who found her unresponsive.

At the time, Tamar was not able to speak to the public. Attention turned to her partner, Adefeso. Rumors of his controlling behavior circulated online, and reports that his heavy-handed ways had been caught on camera hit the blogs. Her WeTV show, “Get Ya Life,” appeared to be the final straw for Tamar .

“After a scene, I’d watch it back, and it would be nothing like how it went down,” she says. “They started piecing words together and sentences. I just thought that wasn’t necessary — I wanted to do positive television.”

“Baddies ATL” stars “Bad Girls Club” members Natalie Nunn, Tanisha Thomas, Sarah Oliver, Meghan James (who also starred in “Basketball Wives”), Christina Salgado, Judi Jackson, Janelle Shanks, Seven Craft, and former “Love & Hip Hop” cast member, Sidney Starr.

Zeus Network released a teaser trailer for the series on Valentine’s Day of this year and a second teaser was released in March. The show premiered in May.
