A 19-year-old Las Vegas woman was gunned down while attending a pool party, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.

Breeana Larita Webb was among three others who were shot. Webb was pronounced dead shortly after the shooting.

On an obituary page created to honor the victim’s death, a commenter wrote: “Breeanna you had a smile that would light up the room. You loved your friends and they all loved you. You were taken to soon. God has taken an angel from us. We will love and miss you dearly.”

The shooting happened shortly before midnight on Sunday at a Las Vegas-area apartment complex, authorities said.

Two of the three victims have died, police further revealed.

Officers responded to a call of a shooting and found an unresponsive woman who was suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, police said. She was rushed to a local hospital where she was succumbed to the wounds.

At the time of this writing, investigators are actively looking for a suspect. Anyone with information about the shooting is urged to contact the LVMPD Homicide Section at 702-828-3521 or email homicide@lvmpd.com. Six years ago, Las Vegas made international headlines after a gunman sprayed more than 1,000 bullets into a crowd at a local festival. Sixty people died and hundreds were injured. It would become the deadliest mass shooting in modern U.S. history.

“I am determined to…work with Congress to enact further commonsense gun violence prevention legislation, including banning assault weapons and high-capacity magazines, which have enabled shooters to slaughter so many innocents,” President Joe Biden said in a statement shortly after the shooting. “We’ve done it before, and we can do it again. The memories of the victims demand nothing less.”
