Stephen “tWitch” Boss’s mother, Connie Boss Alexander, has publicly expressed her dismay over Allison Holker’s forthcoming memoir, “This Far: My Story of Love, Loss, and Embracing the Light.”

The tension between Stephen “tWitch” Boss’ family and his widow, Allison Holker, has escalated following her recent revelations about his struggles in a People magazine interview. Holker, who is preparing for the release of her memoir This Far: My Story of Love, Loss, and Embracing the Light, opened up about her journey of grief and what she says were shocking discoveries after the beloved DJ and dancer’s tragic death in December 2022.

Holker’s interview unveiled an alleged hidden battle with drug addiction that she claims to have uncovered while selecting her husband’s funeral attire. She described finding what she called a “cornucopia” of substances, including mushrooms and pills, which she said he kept concealed. The revelation left her deeply unsettled as she grappled with the “shame” she believes he must have felt while keeping such secrets from his family.

However, all of tWitch’s loved ones are unhappy with these claims. His mother, Connie Boss Alexander, leads the charge in calling out Holker for what she describes as “misleading and hurtful” allegations against her late son.

In a strongly worded statement, Boss Alexander expressed her outrage, saying, “The family is absolutely appalled by the misleading and hurtful claims made about my son. The untruths about Stephen have crossed every line of decency.” She emphasized that her son’s memory, as well as the well-being of his children, should not be tainted by unverified claims. “Stephen and his surviving children don’t deserve this,” she said.

She continued, “For the last two years, I have remained quiet and away from the public eye to protect my family. My primary focus has been on healing and attempting to remain connected to my grandchildren. But when I read these dreadful claims about my baby, our beloved Stephen, I realized I could not stay silent any longer. Our family will ensure his name and memory are protected, and we are committed to defending his honor.”

Boss Alexander’s sentiments are echoed by other close family members and friends, including tWitch’s brother, Dré Rose, and longtime friend Courtney Ann Platt.

Platt claimed Holker caused discomfort for all attendees at Boss’s funeral, even his mother, to sign “some weird NDA,” or nondisclosure agreement, “and here you go and write a book with all the dirty laundry.”

Amid the backlash, Holker has defended her intentions for writing the memoir. In her interview, she said, “My only intention in writing the book is to help other people. I want others to find hope, light, and strength during their darkest moments.” She also stated that she wanted to shed light on mental health struggles and the complexity of grief.

Should Allison Holker have shared these details, or is Stephen’ tWitch’ Boss’ family right to call her out?
