Venus Williams, the renowned tennis champion, is stepping into the world of interior design with the launch of Palazzo, an innovative AI-based startup focused on transforming home décor.
Partnering with co-founders Raffi Holzer, CEO of Avvir, and Edward Lando, founder of Pareto Holdings, Williams aims to simplify and revolutionize the interior design process for homeowners.
Palazzo, which comes as an extension of Williams’ interior design firm, V Starr, seeks to make design more accessible and enjoyable.
The startup offers a unique platform where users can upload photos of their rooms and interact with an AI chatbot to visualize potential makeovers.
Williams envisions Palazzo as the go-to destination for all things related to home design, providing users with confidence and creativity in redesigning their spaces.
“We want to make design fun and easy,” Williams expressed. “Our vision is to create a space where everything home is in one place.”
Unlike traditional design services, Palazzo offers a user-friendly approach, granting users 10 free credits upon sign-up to explore the platform’s capabilities.
Moreover, the startup does not intend to monetize rendering credits, aligning with its mission to prioritize accessibility.
“Unless you’re a professional, things on the internet should be free,” Holzer emphasized. “I think the general population’s expectation…And the way we can make money is we’re creating this multisided marketplace.”
Palazzo plans to generate revenue by providing links for users to purchase furniture and décor items resembling those generated on the app.
By offering a seamless integration of design inspiration and purchasing options, Palazzo aims to redefine the interior design experience.
With the launch of Palazzo, Venus Williams is not only extending her legacy as a sports icon but also establishing herself as a trailblazer in the realm of design and technology.
As the startup continues to innovate and evolve, it promises to revolutionize how homeowners approach interior design.
