Congratulations to Serena Williams and Alexis Ohanian who have officially announced they are now the proud parents of two.
The tennis legend and her entrepreneur husband made the announcement on Instagram Tuesday with the caption “Welcome, Adira River Ohanian. I’m grateful to report our house is teaming with love: a happy & healthy newborn girl and happy & healthy mama. Feeling grateful. @serenawilliams, you’ve now given me another incomparable gift — you’re the GMOAT,” he added.
The post continued: “Thanks to all the amazing medical staff who took care of my wife & our daughter I’ll never forget the moment I introduced @olympiaohanian to her baby sister. Your peace would have been like a river, your well-being like the waves of the sea.”
On Tuesday, the 41-year-old mother of two posted an adorable video on TikTok in which her family is seated at a table. Ohanian is seen working on a laptop.
Williams then says she’ll be right back back and returns with a newborn baby in tow. She, her husband and their firstborn daughter, Olympia, 5, then lean towards her, in awe of the infant. Olympia is then seen kissing the baby’s forehead and ends with an image of the new family of four.
“No one’s more excited than her,” Ohanian told People in an interview. “She’s been wanting this. She’s been praying and asking about this for quite some time, so she’s very ready.”
The proud dad of two added: “We’re not first-time parents anymore. I feel more confident about having a newborn, all of those things that I just had zero confidence about with Olympia because I’d never even been around babies at that point in my life. “We’re also obviously taking every precaution and doing everything we can to make sure everything goes smoothly for Serena.”
