Keyshia Cole appears to have finally covered up the chest tattoo bearing her ex Hunxho’s government name (“Ibrahim”), and fans are living for this glow-up.
Keyshia Cole is letting go, seemingly for real this time.
The R&B icon just made a bold move that has the internet buzzing. In the middle of her The Way It Is 20th Anniversary Tour, the “Love” singer took a break from the stage to do something that’s been a long time coming: cover up the name of her ex-boo, rapper Hunxho, which had been tatted on her chest. The one that read “Ibrahim,” Hunxho’s real name, which she got during their whirlwind relationship in 2023. That ink had fans scratching their heads then, and now it seems Keyshia’s just as ready to scratch it off her body.
A now-viral clip posted by Instagram user @livebitez shows Cole reclining in a tattoo chair, while celebrity tattoo artist Ryan Henry hovers over her with what looks like a red marker in hand. He checks his phone, she flashes a subtle smile, and even though we can’t hear exactly what she says.

Though the video doesn’t show the full tattoo session, fans instantly recognized what was happening and started piecing things together.
Keyshia herself hinted that this move was coming. In a recent interview on The Breakfast Club, she got candid about still being emotionally tied to Hunxho. “Am I ready to move on? No,” she admitted. “I still got that tattoo here, so I can’t… I don’t know.”
Keyshia and Hunxho had everyone talking earlier this year when they went public with their relationship. The couple, who raised eyebrows with their 18-year age gap, with Keyshia being 42 and Hunxho being 24, were seen at events, hand-in-hand and fully boo’d up. Fans saw everything from soft kisses to full-on red carpet appearances, and for a while, it looked like they were locked in.
No word yet on what she covered the name with, but fans are already applauding the decision. “Sis said, ‘New era, new chest,'” one user joked. Another wrote, “Keyshia is healing out loud. And I love that for her.”
