Woman Who Kidnapped Twin Boys Found, Faces Federal Charges

An Ohio woman who was accused of abducting 5-month-old twin brothers was arrested Thursday, according to Columbus police.

Investigators say one of the two infants, Kyair Thomass, was discovered unharmed earlier this week. The other, Kason Thomass, was found Thursday.

The latter of the two was found near a branch of the popular pizza food chain, Papa John’s, where he was sitting inside a stolen black Honda Accord. The former was found Tuesday morning near Dayton International Airport.

The suspect, Nalah Jackson, was seen at a gas station shortly after kidnapping the twin boys.

The desperate plea to find the boys began when the kidnapper, Nalah Jackson, allegedly abducted them while their mother was in a Columbus restaurant picking up a DoorDash delivery order, detectives said. The mother had left the car doors unlocked and the engine remained running, according to WBNS.

The suspect, who was in the restaurant, walked out of the restaurant just as the mother Wilhelmina walked in. Jackson abducted the toddlers moments later.

The FBI would soon get involved in finding the twins after they went missing.

“I just miss my baby. I miss them being together and their smiles,” the boys’ mother told ABC 6 Tuesday night. “I can tell [Kyair] misses his brother.”

Kyair Thomass and Kason Thomass are both safe and back with their family.

Before Kason was found, the family of the twins held a vigil where their grandmother, LaFonda Thomass, begged for her grandson’s return.

“If you look at him and you see anything, see a precious child who’s longing for his mother,” she said at the time. “We beg you, please, please, please do the right thing and just bring my baby home.”

“We will not stop until we find Kason,” Columbus Police Chief Elaine Bryant said after one twin was found. “The FBI is offering a $10,000 award for the safe return of Kason.”

Jackson has been charged with two counts of kidnapping and faces federal charges since she crossed state lines, Bryant said.

“It will absolutely be a federal investigation,” she said.

“We are grateful to the public for their help throughout this investigation, and for the tireless work of our officers and our many partner agencies,” authorities said Thursday.
