Former President Trump is unveiling new nicknames for Vice President Kamala Harris as speculation grows that she could replace President Biden on the 2024 ticket.

This comes after Biden’s recent debate performance, which sparked concerns among some Democrats and media figures, leading to a slump in the polls.

Trump, known for his penchant for coining nicknames for political opponents like “Low Energy Jeb” and “Crooked Hillary,” has previously dubbed Biden as “Slow Joe,” “Sleepy Joe,” and “Crooked Joe.” Now, his attention has shifted to Harris.

In a recent Truth Social post, Trump accused Biden of having “choked like a dog” during the debate and mockingly congratulated Harris, calling her “Laffin’ Kamala Harris.”

“Also, respects to our potentially new Democrat Challenger, Laffin’ Kamala Harris,” Trump wrote. “She did poorly in the Democrat Nominating process, starting out at Number Two, and ending up defeated and dropping out, even before getting to Iowa, but that doesn’t mean she’s not a ‘highly talented’ politician!”

Earlier, the Trump campaign issued a statement accusing Democrats and the media of covering up Biden’s mental acuity issues, specifically targeting Harris.

“Every one of them has lied about Joe Biden’s cognitive state and supported his disastrous policies over the past four years, especially Cackling Copilot Kamala Harris,” the statement read.

A national poll released Tuesday by CNN suggests Harris performs slightly better than Biden in a potential matchup against Trump. The poll indicates Harris has broader support from women and independents compared to Biden.

“Harris’ slightly stronger showing against Trump rests at least in part on broader support from women (50% of female voters back Harris over Trump vs. 44% for Biden against Trump) and independents (43% Harris vs. 34% Biden),” the poll noted.

Biden, at 81, the oldest president in U.S. history, is facing a challenging period in his bid for a second term.

Despite the speculation, Biden’s campaign has consistently stated that he has no intention of dropping out of the race.

On Thursday, during an Independence Day event, Biden assured supporters of his commitment to the campaign. When a supporter encouraged him to “keep up the fight,” Biden responded, “You got me, man. I’m not going anywhere.”
