Rapper Sexyy Red has released a new line of lip glosses with provocative and controversial names, which have quickly become a topic of conversation. The collection, featuring shades named after sexually suggestive terms, STDs, and bodily fluids, has sparked outrage among many fans.
The ‘Pound Town’ rapper announced her latest venture on social media, revealing the new line in a series of posts. The glosses come in a variety of bright colors, but it’s the names that have everyone talking.
Since launching into the mainstream, Sexxy Red has faced criticism for claims of being “too raunchy” and producing music that is overtly sexual. She grew in popularity after her hits “Poundtown 2” and “SkeeYee” dropped, self-proclaiming herself as the “Hood Hottest Princess” and rapping about sex, drugs, cars, and money.
Janae Nierah Wherry, known best by her stage name Sexyy Red, unveiled a box set of lip glosses as part of her new cosmetic brand Northside Princess in a not-so-subtle Instagram post shared with her 4.6 million followers.
The collection of eight shimmery lip glosses includes iridescent shades in pink, blue, red, yellow, and green.

Social media has been inundated with negative comments and reactions to the lip gloss line. Some fans have called for a boycott of the product, while others have expressed disappointment with Sexyy Red for making STDs popular in the black community.
“All jokes aside she gotta be getting paid by Illuminati to promote disgusting disease to the black community.. we gotta stop thinking this shit is cute or a joke and stop supporting this shit..,” a fan wrote.
