A Memphis woman is facing charges after allegedly attacking a McDonald’s drive-thru customer with a screwdriver.
Ashley Davis, 39, was arrested by Memphis police on November 20 after reportedly stabbing an unnamed woman in the face during an incident at the McDonald’s on 1742 S. Trezevant Street.
According to police, Davis approached the victim’s vehicle while she was ordering at the drive-thru speaker. Davis allegedly asked for money, and when the victim said she didn’t have any, Davis attacked her with what appeared to be a screwdriver.
Davis reportedly shouted, “You should’ve had money, b—-!” before walking away from the scene. The victim, who sustained facial injuries, was treated at the location.
Arrest and Charges
Officers responding to the scene spotted Davis fleeing on foot and pursued her. During the chase, Davis allegedly resisted arrest and fought with police before being detained.
She was booked into the Shelby County Jail on charges of aggravated assault and resisting official detention.
Davis is being held on a $25,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 5.
This incident is the latest in a series of violent crimes reported at the McDonald’s location.
Just days earlier, on Nov. 14, a fatal shooting occurred at the same restaurant.
