She detailed how she spent the last five months of her pregnancy alone, attending every medical appointment, facing each scare, and preparing for labor without the support of her child’s father.
As Rashida explained, the emotional weight became too heavy to bear. She described the final weeks of her pregnancy as a solitary experience, marked by “hurtful exchanges” and a complete lack of involvement from Ball. When the time came to give birth, she chose to prioritize her own well-being. “I no longer feel obligated to protect someone who did not protect me,” she stated, emphasizing that her decision stemmed from a place of self-preservation rather than anger.
