Rashida Nicole recently shared that she welcomed her baby girl, Lilo Legacy, entirely on her own, a decision shaped by months of emotional strain that led her to exclude the NBA star from the delivery room.

In a touching Instagram post, Rashida opened up about the moment her daughter arrived and the poignant reality that surrounded it. She detailed how she spent the last five months of her pregnancy alone, attending every medical appointment, facing each scare, and preparing for labor without the support of her child’s father.

As Rashida explained, the emotional weight became too heavy to bear. She described the final weeks of her pregnancy as a solitary experience, marked by “hurtful exchanges” and a complete lack of involvement from Ball. When the time came to give birth, she chose to prioritize her own well-being. “I no longer feel obligated to protect someone who did not protect me,” she stated, emphasizing that her decision stemmed from a place of self-preservation rather than anger.

Rashida accused LiAngelo of misleading her and creating narratives that sidestepped responsibility, asserting that she wouldn’t allow her child’s birth to be reduced to a mere “delivery room photo-op for the internet.”

Instead, she chose to surround herself with those who truly offered support. In her post, she expressed gratitude to Mudarris and her family for the love and stability they provided throughout her pregnancy.

Her message also confirmed the end of her marriage, which had become public in July, shortly after announcing her pregnancy, adding another layer to the emotional turmoil she faced.
