A contestant at the Miss Grand Thailand pageant is gaining attention after an unexpected on-stage mishap turned into a widely discussed moment online. Kamolwan Chanago, 18, experienced a wardrobe malfunction involving her veneers while delivering her introduction during the Miss Grand Thailand 2026 preliminaries in Bangkok on Wednesday, March 25.

According to the Associated Press, Chanago was in the middle of her speech when her top veneers became loose, causing her words to briefly come out mumbled. The moment, captured on video, showed her quickly turning away from the audience to adjust them before regaining her composure.

Without interrupting the flow of the event, Chanago resumed her presentation and transitioned into her walk across the stage. Wearing a sparkly pink gown paired with a fur shawl, she maintained a steady smile and continued her routine. She completed her walk with a two-part twirl, struck several poses, and exited the stage as the audience responded with applause.

Reactions from spectators highlighted both the surprise of the incident and her ability to continue. One observer described her handling of the moment as better than most would manage under pressure, while another acknowledged the embarrassment but praised her for carrying on as if nothing had happened.

A spokesperson for Miss Grand International confirmed that the incident was minor and unexpected, noting that Chanago remained professional throughout. The organization added that the event continued smoothly and commended her confidence and stage presence.

The Miss Grand Thailand competition features 77 contestants competing for the 2026 title. The winner will go on to represent Thailand at Miss Grand International 2026, scheduled to take place in India in October. The national finale is set for March 28 at MGI Hall in Bangkok.
