Ice Spice is now at the center of a legal dispute after being accused of failing to pay a $20,000 bill tied to custom wigs, a case that has escalated into a broader courtroom battle with Thee Bella Brand.

The dispute began in 2025 when Thee Bella Brand filed a lawsuit alleging that Ice Spice ordered 25 custom wigs valued at roughly $20,000 but did not complete payment for the items. The company also claimed that the rapper’s public comments about the business damaged its reputation and led to financial losses. In its filing, the brand is seeking more than $400,000 in damages, including claims tied to lost business opportunities and punitive compensation.

As the case developed, the company moved forward with additional legal steps, including efforts to depose the rapper as part of its ongoing pursuit of the claim.

Ice Spice, however, has pushed back strongly against the allegations. In court documents, she described the lawsuit as an attempt to apply public pressure rather than resolve a straightforward business disagreement. She accused Thee Bella Brand of being “overly dramatic,” arguing that the matter should be treated as a routine contractual dispute rather than a public controversy.

She also maintains that there is no evidence supporting claims that she interfered with the company’s business or caused reputational harm. Her legal position centers on the argument that, at most, the issue reflects a breach of contract disagreement rather than the sweeping damages being sought by the company.

The case continues to move through the courts as both sides prepare for further legal proceedings, keeping the dispute active and unresolved.
