Black content creators are using their platforms to document and broadcast the historic voting-rights mobilization to audiences across the United States.

This week, thousands gathered in Selma and Montgomery for the “All Roads Lead to the South” National Day of Action in the wake of the widely-criticized Louisiana v. Callais Supreme Court ruling.

Several Black creators have been on the ground covering the event.

A post by Revolt News on Instagram celebrated the efforts of the creators with the caption: “Using their voices when it matters most ✊🏾 These Black creators on the ground at the ‘All Roads Lead to the South’ National Day of Action are making sure Selma’s message reaches every feed and every voter who needs to hear it.”

The creators featured include @aisforafro, @blackgirlswhobrunch, @morganbetalkin, @bookersquared, @lynaevanee, @mspackyetti, @isaiahrmartin, @zysaidso, and @amandasmildtakes, among others.

Through reels, live streams, stories, and real-time updates, they provided firsthand coverage of marches across the Edmund Pettus Bridge, rallies at the Alabama State Capitol, prayer gatherings, and powerful speeches calling for the protection of voting rights.

The National Day of Action was organized in response to recent U.S. Supreme Court decisions and ongoing legislative attacks on voting access, particularly affecting Black and Brown communities in the South.

Following the U.S. Supreme Court’s ruling in Louisiana v. Callais and what civil rights activists are calling escalating attacks on voting rights and fair representation across the South, the NAACP and more than 90 civil rights, voting rights, faith, labor, and community organizations are heading to Selma and Montgomery, AL to organize, mobilize, and build power for the road ahead.

Organizers say the event is a continuation of the legacy of the 1965 Selma marches.

The post by Revolt News has received strong engagement, with users praising the creators for their commitment and visibility in documenting this pivotal moment in the ongoing fight for democracy.

“I hate I couldn’t be there but so proud that they represented strong!!! 😍😍😍,” one commenter said.
