Conservative commentator Candace Owens and former host Don Lemon had a heated exchange over the immorality of same-sex marriage.

Candace Owens once again finds herself in the spotlight after making inflammatory remarks about Don Lemon’s marriage.

The longtime CNN anchor, who now has his own streaming show, The Don Lemon Show, married his longtime partner, real estate broker Tim Malone, on April 6 in New York City.

The classic ceremony was held at Fifth Avenue Presbyterian Church in midtown Manhattan, officiated by Linda Thomas-Greenfield, the United States ambassador to the United Nations, in front of roughly 140 guests.

The grooms, who wore custom suits by Suit Supply and exchanged rings designed by Mark Lash, incorporated marriage traditions from their respective families into their unique ceremony.

Lemon and Malone have been engaged for five years before legalizing their union with a big, traditional wedding day.

During a recent interview, Owens told Lemon that his marriage to Tim Malone was “sinful,” sparking widespread outrage and discussion on social media.

Lemon, who has been a vocal advocate for LGBTQ+ rights, asked Candace Owens, “What do you think about same-sex marriage?”

And without hesitation, Owens replied, “It’s a sin.”

“Do you think it’s a sin? So you think I’m sinful because I’m married to a man?” Don Lemon pressed further.

Owens, however, remained unapologetic. Candace Owens replied without hesitation, “Yeah. You’re sinning. You’re in a sinful relationship. I don’t believe marriage can be between two men.”

The right-wing influencer who referred to the LGBTQ+ community as a ‘sexual plague on our society’ further shared her thoughts on the interview on X.

In a follow-up tweet, she doubled down on her comments, stating, “He then asked me if I thought his homosexual relationship was sin and tried to convince me the Bible would similarly teach the same thing about my being in an interracial relationship. I have no words.”

The on-air argument quickly spread online, with viewers divided along familiar lines. Owens supporters praised her for “standing up for her beliefs .”Critics denounced her comments as hateful and bigoted, accusing her of encouraging discrimination.

Owens has previously made headlines for her controversial views. Her career has been defined by contentious comments on various social and political issues, ranging from race relations to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Despite the backlash, she has a sizable following among conservatives who value her unfiltered perspective on current events.
