The beef between Cardi B and Rah Ali is officially reignited, and this time, a JBL speaker is involved. The two former Love & Hip Hop stars had a surprise run-in at an airport in France, and it did not end peacefully. While both women have their own versions of the story, Cardi B was clearly on a mission for revenge.
The drama all started when Rah Ali, a former friend of Nicki Minaj, appeared on her podcast, “Onsited,” to spill the tea about the airport altercation. According to Rah, she was in a wheelchair at the time and was shocked by Cardi’s behavior as a mother of three. Rah claims she remained calm as Cardi started an argument and “embarrassed Black people” in the process.
But Cardi B tells a very different story.
During an X Spaces session, the “Bodak Yellow” rapper admitted she had been waiting for this moment since their infamous 2018 New York Fashion Week fight. In that original altercation, which Rah Ali attended with Nicki Minaj, Cardi B claims Rah hit her while she was being held back by security.
Now, years later, Cardi says she saw Rah Ali staring her down at the airport and knew it was her time to get her “lick back.” After an argument broke out, Cardi claims Rah told her to “grow up.” That’s when Cardi, fueled by the “Bronx” in her, allegedly grabbed a JBL portable speaker and threw it at Rah Ali’s head. Cardi said she was ready to risk “international lock up” just to get her revenge. She also admitted she felt the need to show her toughness to her longtime bodyguard, who is a member of the Crips.
The only point of contention in their stories is the outcome of the flying speaker. Cardi is adamant that she “clonked” Rah upside the head with it. Rah, however, maintains that no object ever hit her.
So, who are you going to believe? Was Cardi B right to get her “lick back” after all these years? Or should she have taken the high road?
