Cardi B is threatening legal action after Trump advisor Alex Bruesewitz linked her to an article about bot activity boosting Nicki Minaj’s recent political commentary online.

The dispute centers on a report examining engagement on Nicki Minaj’s X account. The analysis, conducted by Israeli data firm Cyabra, alleged that automated accounts amplified Nicki’s political posts. According to Cyabra’s targeted review of engagement activity, 33 percent of the nearly 55,000 accounts analyzed over a two-month period were deemed inauthentic, amounting to more than 18,000 accounts. The company identified Dec. 26 as a peak moment, reporting that 56 percent of comments on Nicki’s political posts that day came from fake accounts. Cyabra concluded that a coordinated fake campaign actively amplified political content on Minaj’s X account during the period studied.

The controversy intensified on February 23, 2026, when Alex Bruesewitz, adviser to U.S. President Donald Trump, publicly dismissed the report as a “hoax.” Bruesewitz questioned the credibility of Cyabra’s analysis and pointed to a connection he said raised concerns. He noted that Cardi B’s agent, Mike G (Guirguis), is an investor in Cyabra and serves on its Brand & Entertainment Council. Bruesewitz suggested that this relationship reflected potential bias, referencing the long-running rivalry between Cardi B and Nicki Minaj.

Cardi B quickly pushed back in a series of posts on X. The Bronx rapper strongly denied any involvement with the report or influence over Cyabra’s findings. She described Cyabra as an established data analytics company with multiple investors and clients across different industries.

“Cyabra is a data company with a lot of investors like Mike G, customers like Elon Musk and Pepsi that use that company for data, and even has Mike Pompeo on the board of advisors,” she wrote. “So what you need to focus on is the fact that data is VERY real and leave me … .I do not have anything to do with that…”

Cardi B also threatened to sue Bruesewitz, accusing him of dragging her into an issue unrelated to her. She reiterated that she had no connection to the analysis and warned against continuing to tie her name to the claims.

Mike G later clarified that his involvement with Cyabra is personal and not connected to Cardi B or the artists he represents. He emphasized that his investment and advisory role with the company operates independently of his work in entertainment.

The exchange has added another chapter to the ongoing tension between Cardi B and Nicki Minaj, as debate continues.
