Cardi B and her husband, Offset, have announced the arrival of their third child together weeks after filing for divorce.
The couple married in 2017 and have had several ups and downs in their relationship, with Cardi B filing for divorce twice already.
Cardi B filed for divorce from Offset a second time after seven years of marriage. The former couple previously split in December 2018 and reconciled a month later. In 2020, Cardi B officially filed for divorce from him. She explained to fans at the time that it was not “because of cheating.” Yet, their relationship has been plagued with infidelity rumors on the Migos rapper’s end since nearly the beginning. Eventually, however, Cardi B withdrew her divorce request.
The “WAP” artist reportedly filed again on July 31, requesting primary custody of their 5-year-old daughter Kulture and 2-year-old son Wave. Cardi’s rep disclosed that the divorce filing “is not based on any particular incident; it has been a long time coming and is amicable.”
Hours later, she revealed on Instagram that she was pregnant with her third child. In the caption, she wrote, “With every ending comes a new beginning! I am so grateful to have shared this season with you. You have brought me more love, more life, and most of all, renewed my power.”
The “WAP” rapper revealed Thursday that her third child is finally. She shared the news in an Instagram carousel of photos showing her cradling and breastfeeding the newborn in the hospital.
The slideshow also includes Offset admiring their baby in his arms and having skin-to-skin contact with the little one in a chair beside Cardi.
