After months of whispers and rumored sightings, Cardi B officially went Instagram official with NFL star Stefon Diggs, posting a carousel of steamy, romantic moments that practically broke the internet!
And Cardi B’s estranged husband, Offset, couldn’t keep quiet. He seemingly threw major shade, prompting Diggs to clap back swiftly!
The “WAP” rapper, 32, dropped a bombshell on Sunday, sharing a series of intimate photos and videos with Stefon Diggs. The caption, “Chapter 5…Hello Chapter six,” appeared to signal they’ve been together for six months.
The steamy images showed the couple embracing on a yacht during their Memorial Day celebration in Miami. One snap even featured Cardi B in a revealing one-piece swimsuit, while another captured them sharing a passionate kiss. Cardi proudly displayed over-the-top gifts like diamond accessories and a shimmering blue Birkin bag, reportedly from the pro athlete. A clip even showed Stefon jokingly spanking Cardi B as she twerked on him.
Initially, it seemed like Offset was playing it cool, even commenting that he was “happy for her” under a post of the new couple. But that peace lasted about as long as a TikTok trend.
On June 1st, in response to photo dumps from both Stefon and Cardi, Offset apparently couldn’t resist a bit of shade. He posted two tweets that were quickly deleted, but not before the internet caught them. One was a gif of a basketball player throwing a ball with the caption, “Today I pass.” He then followed up with, “Good rollout and PR.”
But Stefon Diggs wasn’t about to let that slide. Soon after, his own Instagram stories showed what appeared to be a direct response to Offset’s comments. Diggs trolled Offset with a picture of himself catching a ball, effectively saying, “You pass? I catch it!”. He then added a reflective message alongside a clip of Quavo, Offset’s former Migos bandmate, saying, “Wrap it up.”
Rumors about Cardi B and Diggs first started swirling when they were seen clubbing in NYC and then celebrating Valentine’s Day together. They made their first public outing earlier this month at an NBA playoff game, and Stefon himself even helped fuel the rumors in early May by featuring Cardi B in his own Instagram photo dump.
This very public announcement of a new relationship comes while Cardi B’s bitter divorce from Offset is still ongoing. The former couple share three children: Kulture, 6, Wave, 3, and Blossom, 8 months. The “Bodak Yellow” rapper recently called out Offset, labeling him a “deadbeat dad” and claiming to have been harassed and threatened by him in their current legal dispute, where he is reportedly seeking spousal support.
