Claressa Shields says she plans to pursue legal action against 50 Cent after the rapper shared posts on social media accusing the boxing champion of cheating with a man named Maserati Bud.

Claressa has firmly denied the allegations, saying the claims are false and damaging to her reputation.

The dispute stems from an ongoing feud between rapper Papoose and 50 Cent. According to Claressa, tensions escalated around New Year’s when 50 Cent began making comments online that she described as disrespectful toward both her and Papoose. The back-and-forth eventually grew into a rap conflict, with Papoose releasing a diss track aimed at the G-Unit founder.

Rather than continuing the exchange through music, Claressa said 50 Cent turned his attention toward her personal life. The rapper posted content on Instagram that included an AI-generated face swap image of Claressa and Papoose, along with claims suggesting that Claressa had cheated with singer Maserati Bud. The posts quickly circulated across blogs and social media platforms, adding to the online conversation surrounding the feud.

Claressa responded publicly soon after the allegations appeared online. The undefeated boxing champion shared a screenshot that referenced the possibility of pursuing a defamation lawsuit when someone falsely claims another person engaged in a sexual relationship. In the caption accompanying the image, she addressed the rapper directly, writing that he could not lie about her personal life without consequences.

She later elaborated on her position in a longer statement posted on X, where she explained that she had never had any romantic or sexual involvement with Maserati Bud. Claressa said the claims being shared online created a false narrative about her personal life and were amplified by 50 Cent’s large social media following.

The boxing champion also noted that the rapper’s influence, which includes tens of millions of followers online, contributed to the spread of the story. Claressa indicated that posts shared by blogs and media outlets discussing the situation could potentially become part of the evidence if the matter moves forward legally. In her statement, she added that the accusations were untrue and criticized the rapper for spreading what she described as lies.

As the online dispute continues to unfold, attention has shifted to whether the conflict will remain a social media battle or move into the courtroom. Neither side has indicated what the next legal steps may be, but  Claressa has made it clear that she intends to challenge the claims made about her publicly.
