“I need four f–king umbrellas!” Those six words are now echoing across the internet as Doechii’s Met Gala debut meltdown makes the rounds, and fans are not holding back.

The 26-year-old rapper, best known for tracks like “Anxiety” and “Alter Ego,” found herself at the center of social media backlash after a now-viral video showed her snapping at her team just moments before her Met Gala debut.

The footage, which first hit TikTok on Monday, captures Doechii at The Mark Hotel, the unofficial pre-Gala headquarters, shouting instructions and demanding better coverage to shield her outfit from photographers.

“I need four f–king umbrellas,” she barked, clearly rattled by paparazzi flashes in the hotel lobby. The situation escalated quickly as she ordered her team to move umbrellas and keep her hidden. “Move these umbrellas. I don’t want these people f–king seeing me,” she yelled.

It wasn’t just one outburst. It was a whole scene.

In a flurry of scrambling assistants and panicked security, Doechii was wheeled out inside a makeshift wardrobe screen in what can only be described as a chaotic attempt to protect the reveal of her fashion moment. But the drama didn’t stop at the hotel doors. Outside, the rapper continued to shout commands at her team: “Move the umbrella! Get closer! Are you blocking it?”

One staffer, clearly under pressure, assured her through the chaos: “Yes!” Others scrambled to shield her from the eager eyes of fans and paparazzi camped out in front.

The footage lit up social media within hours. Some fans defended her, citing the high-stress nature of the Met Gala and the intense pressure for celebrities to nail their big reveal. But many others were quick to call out what they saw as rude and entitled behavior.

“She’s changed,” one fan wrote under the viral clip. “This isn’t the same Doechii from a year ago.” Others accused her of “mistreating” her assistants and letting the fame get to her head.

It’s no secret the Met Gala is a pressure cooker. With every camera flash and fashion critic waiting to pounce, celebs are under intense scrutiny.

Whether this was just a one-off moment of stress or a sign of a rising star turning into a diva, Doechii’s umbrellas weren’t the only thing drawing attention at the Met Gala. Her attitude was, too.
