Police are desperately searching for a pregnant woman they say was abducted from a Miami-Dade home yesterday.
According to law enforcement, Andreae Lloyd, 27, works as a caretaker and was working at a home at 13840 Southwest 285th Terrace. While she was there, they say that a man knocked on the door around 12:30 a.m. Lloyd answered the door and the man immediately began to beat her before dragging her towards his car and forcing her into the vehicle.
The incident was captured on surveillance camera.
The vehicle is described as being a white Honda Civic with Florida license Y650DL.
“Based on the evidence gathered by the detectives on scene, video surveillance, it appears that this lady was beaten and it does appear at this time that she was abducted, taken against her will inside of a vehicle,” Miami-Dade Police Det. Chris Thomas said, per NBC Miami.
Her family is eager for her to be returned safely. She is the mother of two young boys.
“It’s hard, it’s hard. She’s the type of person who always calls her daddy because we got so much love in the family,” her father, Arnold Lloyd, told the news outlet. “Not only is she loved, but she is also very very consistent. You can set a clock to her. She works, she takes care of her kids. She works, she takes care of her kids. That’s her life.”
Police are trying to work whether there is a connection between Lloyd and the man who took her.
“We are not sure of the relationship between them, of course that’s a part of the investigation and that will be revealed,” Thomas said.
Miami-Dade police are asking anyone with information on the whereabouts of Lloyd to call them at 305-378-4342.
