In a defiant call to action, political commentator and activist Danielle Moodie took to social media with a fiery message, urging Americans to mobilize in response to a recent U.S. Supreme Court decision that, she says, threatens birthright citizenship and lays the groundwork for even more radical reversals of immigrant rights.
“The people of this country must RISE UP! #NationalStrike,” Moodie posted alongside a searing video that has quickly gained traction online.
In the nearly 3-minute video, Moodie lambasted the high court, calling it an “illegal, unjustifiably disgusting white nationalist Supreme Court” and warning that the decision could lead to a systematic dismantling of constitutional protections for immigrants and people of color in the U.S.
Anger Over Supreme Court Ruling

The ruling, which curtails the power of lower courts to block immigration-related executive orders, is being interpreted by critics like Moodie as a step toward undermining the principle of jus soli—or birthright citizenship—enshrined in the 14th Amendment.
“Donald Trump and this white nationalist regime can decide to just… take away your birthright citizenship,” she warned. “You know what they’re coming for next? Our naturalization rights.”
Moodie referenced recent efforts by conservative lawmakers and policy influencers to question the legitimacy of citizenship granted to children born in the U.S. to undocumented immigrants, a long-standing legal right that could now be at risk depending on how courts interpret federal authority.
Call for National Strike and Civil Action
Throughout the video, Moodie emphasized that voting alone will not be enough to counter what she describes as an orchestrated power grab involving the courts, corporate media, and even establishment Democrats.
“We are not getting out of this with voting alone. The people are going to have to shut this sh*t down,” she said, calling for a #NationalStrike to push back against what she sees as an authoritarian shift in governance.
She also defended New York Assemblymember-elect Zoran Mamdani, a Democratic Socialist, praising his recent primary win as a rare beacon of hope.
“The people showed their power in New York City by voting for someone who believes in affordable housing, someone who believes in full and free lives,” she said, criticizing Democrats who have targeted Mamdani instead of addressing threats to democracy.
Warning Against Divide-and-Conquer Tactics
Moodie concluded with a sweeping condemnation of the culture wars and identity-based wedge politics that she argues are being weaponized to distract and divide.
“Don’t fall for their racist rope-a-dopes… their anti-Semitic tropes, their Islamophobia, their transphobia,” she said. “It is all part and play of the same game.”
Her video is sparking conversations across platforms, with hashtags like #NationalStrike, #SCOTUS, and #BirthrightCitizenship trending as more voices weigh in on what many see as a pivotal moment for civil rights and democratic engagement in America.
