The internet is abuzz after Kash Doll and a nail technician named Zanaya traded words on social media over a late payment. What started as a simple complaint from a service provider turned into a full-blown debate with the rapper firing back and fans taking sides.
It all began when Zanaya took to TikTok to vent. She claimed that after doing Kash Doll’s nails and a pedicure for $150, she had to wait four days to receive her payment. Zanaya made it clear that there was no agreement for payment in exchange for promo; she just felt it was a matter of principle and respect to be paid the same day. She eventually got her money and later posted on her Instagram Stories that she never intended to “bash” Kash Doll, but rather just wanted to spread awareness for other service providers.
But Kash Doll wasn’t feeling the subliminal callout at all. The rapper quickly hopped online and went live with a video of their phone call. During the call, she got Zanaya to admit that she had received her payment from a friend of Kash’s named “Tish.”
Kash Doll explained that she had to rush out for a friend’s wedding and had someone else handle the payment. The rapper was clearly frustrated with Zanaya for bringing the issue to the internet, calling her a “clout chaser.” She doubled down in a message to The Shade Room, writing, “She got paid same day by my friend, what y’all not understanding??????!!!!!!!!!!” In another video, she said, “It doesn’t matter who she got paid from. So, for you to come on the internet and act like you didn’t get paid is the problem.
The internet is now divided. Some people argue that Kash Doll should have been paid immediately. In contrast, others believe Zanaya was just trying to gain clout since she didn’t receive a promo video from the rapper. What do you think? Could this have been handled better on both sides?
