Rihanna’s playing games with us, and we love it! The queen of surprise pregnancy reveals has dropped juicy hints about her third baby’s name and gender at the Smurfs premiere, and the internet is putting on its detective hat.

Will it be another little R-named prince? Or is the girl gang finally arriving?

The Fenty mogul and Grammy-winning superstar turned heads over the weekend when she stepped out for the premiere of The Smurfs Movie in Brussels, where she voices the iconic Smurfette. While her custom Chanel gown, baby bump, and jaw-dropping ring had fans talking, it was her brief chat with Entertainment Tonight that really set off speculation.

When asked if the baby on board was “the girl we’ve been waiting for,” Rihanna didn’t give a direct answer, but she did drop a playful tease.

“Let’s see if it’s a Smurfette,” she said with a grin. When pressed, she shrugged, “Who knows? Could be a Papa Smurf.”

Now, we know Rihanna isn’t one to confirm anything before she’s ready, but her smirk said a lot. The casual mention of “Smurfette” had fans screaming girl energy, and suddenly, social media was flooded with name guesses.

One thing we do know is that it will be another ‘R’ name.

Both Rihanna and A$AP Rocky confirmed that their baby name tradition is here to stay. In that same red carpet interview, Rihanna added, “It’s always going to be an R name. That’s the one thing me and Rocky don’t fight over.”

Rocky doubled down on that sentiment during his Late Night with Seth Meyers interview. When asked if baby No. 3 would follow the ‘R’ name tradition like big brothers RZA and Riot, the rapper replied without hesitation: “For sure.”

And that’s when fans really started to connect the dots.

At the Met Gala, where Rihanna debuted her latest pregnancy in a floral white gown, she and Rocky were both wearing ruby-colored jewelry. Now, eagle-eyed fans are convinced they’ve cracked the code: Ruby is the name. The theory is simple: red rubies, Rihanna referencing Smurfette, and the confirmed ‘R’ tradition? That baby might just be Ruby Mayers.

Of course, nothing is confirmed (yet). And in true Rihanna fashion, she’s enjoying letting the world guess. But it wouldn’t be surprising if the “Diamonds” singer is planting clues on purpose, just enough to spark chatter but not quite enough to give it all away.

The 36-year-old and Rocky, 37, already share two sons, RZA Athleston and Riot Rose. Rihanna has previously expressed her desire to have a daughter someday, stating that she loves the idea of raising a strong, confident girl. So naturally, fans are rooting for this baby to be the long-awaited Fenty princess.
